stuff i actually do
i love to cosplay! ive been going to my city's anime convention for 6 years now, and i always make costumes for it every year + halloween. so far ive cosplayed death the kid (soul eater,) kaito (vocaloid,) miles edgeworth (ace attorney,) reigen arataka (ace attorney,) and fyodor dostoevsky (bungo stray dogs.) as a kid, i also went to convergence every year with my parents. plus ive gone to 2d con once or twice, so conventions are really big for me (:
at school, the first extracircular i joined was deca. its a business club. i joined 3 years ago, so ive been in it every year of high school. ive gone to state and have written Long Ass papers for it, so its pretty important to me. in my chapter, i hold the position of marketing executive as well as communications manager. but everyone there is capitalist so its not The Most important to me.
another extracircular i participate in is my schools queer organization. its quite big but we're an inner city school so thats not that surprising. ive been in that for 3 years as well! i dont do much for it but i do some organizing + im also a queer mentor technicially. i dunno what im doing other than talking to the kid but its cool.
MOST IMPORTANTLY im in my schools theatre department! i joined two years ago, originally joining as an actor in our production of Urinetown (which is AWESOME.) second year, i wasnt cast bcs of... complications but i wanted to participate so instead i just organized our entire costume cage (which is fucking huge and fucking old as shit) and worked on random tech stuff for A Wrinkle In Time. but for our production for the one-act competition, i was given the task of coming up with the costumes. my director didnt like that and tried to interfere but i forced him out enough. i also did some lighting! that production was Attack! Of the Killer Man From the Sun (usually shortened to just ATTACK!) was really good. after that, i was given the role of costume director completely as well as lightboard operator!! with my bestie we switched off lightboard and spotlight every night. it was really, really fucking good. like really good. i hate the original show (Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat) but i loved our version. it was the most popular production we've ever had and it was DESERVED!!!
oh yeahg. also i draw and write a lot. and sew. and play the balalaika as formerly mentioned. writing is awesome
